# AXIS Bridge \[Move AXIS between Base and Robinhood Chain]

The AXIS Bridge is a **real, on-chain LayerZero OFT bridge**. AXIS **locks** on
Base and **mints 1:1** on Robinhood Chain; bridging back **burns** on Robinhood
and **unlocks** on Base. Global supply stays fixed at **84,000,000 AXIS** across
both chains — it's never doubled. The bridge contracts are **ownerless and
renounced**: no admin, no upgrade, no config changes, ever.

## How bridging works

1. **Connect your wallet** and pick a direction — the widget switches you to the
source chain automatically (it will add Robinhood Chain to your wallet if
   needed).
2. **Enter an AXIS amount.** You get a live **LayerZero fee** quote (paid in ETH
on the source chain — a few cents).
3. **Approve + bridge** (Base→Robinhood needs a one-time AXIS approval; the
reverse burns directly, no approval). You sign in your wallet.
4. **Delivery** — after your source-chain transaction confirms, LayerZero's
verifiers deliver to the destination chain in **~1–3 minutes**, and the AXIS
   appears there.

## Buy & sell AXIS on Robinhood Chain

Once your AXIS is on Robinhood Chain, trade it against ETH on the **Uniswap v4**
pool there — the same real, on-chain swap as the Base [Market](/market), just on
Robinhood Chain (Uniswap's #2 network by volume).

## Security

* **2-DVN verified.** Every cross-chain message must be independently attested by
**two** verifiers (LayerZero Labs + Nethermind) — no single party can forge a
  bridge event.
* **Ownerless & immutable.** Owner and delegate on both contracts are the zero
address — peers, verifiers and config are frozen forever.
* **Non-custodial.** The widget never holds your keys; you sign every transaction,
and it auto-disconnects after 15 minutes idle.

## Notes

* Robinhood Chain uses **ETH for gas**. To bridge *back* from Robinhood you need a
little ETH there for the fee.
* Amounts bridge at 6-decimal precision; sub-`0.000001` AXIS dust stays on the
  source chain.
* Being **on Robinhood Chain** is not the same as being listed in the Robinhood
app — the chain is permissionless; the app is a separate, curated listing.
